DESIGNING IN CONTEXT

As a designer it is important to show people what you are working on. Sketching fulfils that role initially, but a sketch does not provide any information about the feel of the product. This is where a foam model comes in. Sculpting a concept from foam does not only give the commissioner an idea about the feel of the product, but it also allows the designer itself shed a different light on the product. The foam model is often the first concept you can actually touch, hence its relevance. Below are a few models that I made.
